Cream Cheese Frosting
Easy and perfect frosting for more than carrot cake and red velvet. My kids prefer it over buttercream on anything!
Ingredients
- cream cheese - 1 8oz brick
- butter at room temperature - 1/2 cup (1 stick)
- vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- powdered sugar - 4 cups
Instructions
Make sure your butter and cream cheese are at room temperature. Combine the butter and cream cheese in a mixing bowl (or you may use a stand mixer) and beat with hand mixer until creamy and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and stir well to combine.
Switch your mixer to low setting and slowly add powdered sugar in batches until completely combined.
Frost your cake or cupcakes as desired.
